Prevailing Wage Movers

You need movers for a contract that requires prevailing wages be paid. Intelligent Labor and Moving has experience providing laborers and drivers for prevailing wage moving contracts.

We’re uniquely equipped for city work.

If you’re having trouble getting full 53′ trailer loads delivered to your site, or don’t have space to store the goods or the trailer, we can help. Intelligent Labor has two 28′ pup trailers we can split 53′ loads onto and then deliver as needed. We can offer storage on these trailers or in our 2 warehouses in Hudson and Arlington Massachusetts. The 28′ pup trailers when combined with our single axle tractor can fit places not even a 24′ straight truck can go, so we can offer a lot of flexibility for both scheduling and tight locations. We are the prevailing wage moving company for tricky and time-sensitive urban projects.

Our movers are house trained.

Our main work has always been high end residential work in people’s houses. To do that we’ve always needed the best most friendly and conscientious; to achieve this we already pay well and often above the prevailing wage requirements. This means our crews are comfortable dealing with not just construction settings but also people’s homes. We’ll treat YOUR customers with the same care, courtesy and respect we treat you.

We’re nearby.

We dispatch most crews out of our location in Arlington MA providing relatively short travel times into Boston and Cambridge. Our 2nd warehouse in Hudson has more space to accommodate reloading trailers, receiving larger deliveries and prepping. Prevailing wage commercial moving is one of our specialties, so let us know how we can help.

Small enough to care, big enough to get it done.

Intelligent Labor and Moving is a 10-15 mover outfit that’s family owned. We have 2 warehouses and 5 trucks. We can provide tractor trailer service down to 16′ cabover trucks for any size move, even in tight spaces. We’re comfortable navigating contracts, providing the required insurance coverage and putting together smart plans to keep costs down and productivity up.

We’re not union movers, but we respect the local unions.

We’re not going to try and pull contracts away from the local union shops, but are instead here to do the work that isn’t a good match for them, but which also has to comply with the prevailing wage rules.
