About Us: Working to be the best moving company ever.

Since 2005 Intelligent Labor and Moving has been on a constant and continuous path to improvement to become the best moving company ever. When we started that meant paying higher wages, having simpler rates and delivering great service. Since then we’ve expanded our goals: being business in the community that gives back, maximizing consistency and working to reduce or eliminate our environmental impact.

Those are all great details but how does that help the moving customer?

It’s all just words if it doesn’t make the customer’s move better, but here’s why it does:

Movers who are paid better work harder, not just because of the money, but because it shows they are valued, and they pay that feeling forward by valuing the customer’s well being and their goods condition.

When the rates are simpler it communicates that the moving company isn’t trying to pull any billing tricks. Complicated rate sheets are a great place to hide dirty tricks and moving is all about building trust, we aim to do that in every move.

Consistency in our communications with the customer, communications between co-workers and consistency in execution is the difference between a good moving company and a great one. The worst crew at the worst company can do a good job on any given day if they’re in a good mood, have good weather and the customer reminds them of someone they like, and they get a little lucky. For your worst most unlucky day to still be a day where the customer’s goods get where they’re going, you hit a budget the customer is comfortable with, nobody cries and the goods are in good condition is the REAL goal, because no customer deserves a bad move. It shouldn’t come down to luck.

We see a commonality in taking care of the environment, the community, our customers and their goods. Taking care, providing care, being careful is a mentality and a way of life. It permeates everything we do and we align all of our actions, so that care is the default, not just something we do when the customer is looking, we put in the work when nobody is looking. That’s what it takes to be the best.
