Being green is also cost-effective. Our green initiatives combined with owning our own warehouse helps us control our costs in the long-term. That means we’re able pay our workers more, charge less and at the same time be more profitable.
Green Moving
We offer a petroleum free moving service. This employs a bunch of different environmentally friendly tactics. First is our plastic-free moving/wrapping, which employs specialty reusable covers for sofas, mattresses, televisions, chairs and appliances. Other items we’re able to wrap using movers blankets and moving rubber bands. We also are the only company which can provide an electric moving truck, powered by our own solar installations. We also use paper tape instead of plastic and make some of our own packing materials out of used cardboard using a cardboard shredder (this replaces packing paper).
Green Warehouse
Our green warehouse is topped with 2 solar installs and our office is heated and cooled with an all electric minisplit heat pump. We also have 3 level 2 EVSE vehicle chargers for charging our electric company car and electric trucks. Our forklifts are also electric and therefore charged off of our rooftop solar.
The warehouse climate is controlled by 2 fujitsu air-sourced heat pumps and the office is handled by a 3rd.
