Moving during the age of Covid-19 : 3.30.20 Update.
We’re still available for local instate moving, packing and storage. We’re doing our best to keep our staff employed and with the help of the CARES act and the SBA will likely be doing a better job of that soon, including a likely hazard-pay system, because walking out the front door is hazardous these days.
Our current list of procedures to keep everyone safe:
daily wipe-down/disinfect of:
- door handles
- truck controls (steering wheels, shifters, turn-signal stalk, window crank, etc)
- office surfaces (desks, keyboards, mice, printer, etc)
- bathrooms
- railings
staggered start times for crews (reduces number of workers in one place at one time to limit possible transmission)
smaller crews (we’re breaking larger jobs up into smaller crews to reduce group sizes
coordinating one person in the office at a time when possible (on days we have two office workers scheduled, one does warehouse work & cleaning all day)
management has been working from home where possible
frequent handwashing both at your home and at our warehouse
gloves and cleaning materials available in all trucks at all times. Not all tasks are possible wearing gloves but we do what we can.
as well as the usual social distancing guidelines where possible.
