Winter Moving in the winter poses many unique challenges. It makes parking more difficult, stairwells and lift gates much more slippery, and some roads may not even be accessible. Not only this, but many times it is so cold in the morning that a truck that isn’t properly warmed up might have issues getting to the job or even started up. That’s where we come in, our team of movers are experienced and very seasoned. We have acquired plenty of experience doing winter moves over the years and come prepared for the worst.
We’re well prepared
All of our trucks which are parked outdoors are plugged into a block heater to prevent slow starts in the morning. During the winter we make sure all of our trucks are equipped with a snow shovel, a slip proof rubber mat for the lift gate, some ice melt, snow scraper and extra pads for drying our feet as we enter your home. Not only this but we tend to leave our shop a little earlier than usual in-case people are driving slowly or if certain routes may not be accessible.
We take winter moving safety very seriously
Despite all of our experience moving in these conditions and all of the precautions we take, we still know when to call it quits. If we feel it will be unsafe or inefficient to move under certain conditions, we work diligently to re-schedule a time that works for both our customers and the safety of our men. When it comes to winter moving, look no further. Our guys are the best guys for the job, we know how to get the job done safely and efficiently under these extreme conditions.
We stay well informed
We are constantly receiving updates about potentially hazardous weather conditions and roads that may be closed. As soon as we become aware of these conditions, we contact our customers and figure out an alternative plan. The last thing you want your moving company to do is cancel on you last second without any type of a backup plan, all that does is add unnecessary stress to an already stressful process. We take pride in our flexibility and try to make things as seamless and stress free as possible for all of our customers.
